Nice Tallacus, I was just about to post a thread on this :D.
You gotta admit, they do have a point about 3D animations. It's all these 3D movies that are coming out nowadays with pathetic storylines and even worse jokes. Unless they're from Pixar, and some exceptionals from Dreamworks, these movies are pretty forgettable. Remember Ant Bully? Yeah, me neither.

Ant Bully looked okay to me but not as good as Barnyard, i didnt see them both, but i would say Barnyard was the lamest

Barnyard! Oh how can I forget...(pause)...right, I feel asleep half way through.
Ant Bully seemed like a rip off of Antz (which wasn't memorable either) and the story was so predictable, but Barnyard...words can't explain how bad that was. Cows protecting the whole farm! huh! Now that I recall (thank you, tallacus), the only thing funny in it was that fat rat singing "Mr.Boombastic", lol that was perfect character animation.

Its all about a quick buck -- 3D movies are "in" thanks to Pixar and Dreamworks kicking things off so well...its not too expensive to make one, so everyone is joining in.

yeah, i mean Dreamworks gave up doing 2D cus their last two 2D films Sinbad and- i forgot the other one, werent bringing in the money as much as the first Shrek was, so they decided to go completely 3D, quoting Kratzenberg from an article i read once that said his goal is to come out with two animated films a year, and so far they have been keeping with that goal, even at the artist's expanse of redoing like half the movie like shark tales close to the official release date,
also i heard Disney is going back to 2D for a while with a new film called the frog princess or something like that

Ah, I wish they'd make something like their first 2D movies, but it seems that's near to impossible cuz those great animators are gone. Jungle Book, Lion King, Sword in the Stone are all so memorable, not only because of their stories but their characteristic motions were so captivating.

Aye, but now u could find some good character animations on shows such as Nickelodeon's Avatar: The last Airbender, not only does it have a good storyline and good characters, but they have a martial arts master for the show who rotos all their fight sequences, beautiful, just beautiful

Avatar's gotta powerful concept, but they've extended the series a bit too much, I think. It started two yrs ago, didn't it? Shouldn't Aang have mastered all the bendings by now. They must be going at real-time practice periods.
And then all the repeats...seems they're just making up the storyline as they go along.

yeah, but i guess its just production delays or something, see nowadays ppl are working more on story then just fancy animation, and its story the ppl want, i think they are working quite well in their means at delivering episodes, and for as the repeats, i think what u mean is episodes like "Appa's lost days" it all comes together, so u have to watch it, but then i dont care i love the concept most original thing i've seen in a while

My girlfriend says this all the time. She likes most 3D movies, but she absolutely loves all the Disney classics....
