View Full Version : RealFlow particles popping, spinning and dispersing!?

Hi there,

I seem to be having some trouble with a few particles upon simulation. Most of the particles are fine, but a few seem to pop, spin and disperse from the rest. Here is a youtube link to a video which shows exactly what I mean.

Any suggestions/solutions/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Matt

Hi MtatFluler,

Can you attach a screenshot of your Particles Node Parameters? Specifically I'm interested in your vaules for the Pressures, Viscosity and Surface Tension. You might try animating a kSpeed or kIsolate daemon on after the fluid has slowed down/stopped moving. Or you could animate a Drag Force Daemon and animate it on/stronger when the liquid comes close to a rest.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the response. I have managed to solve the issue. I think the surface tension was too high. Along with this, I lowered the viscosity.

I wondered if you could elaborate on the kSpeed though? I'm interested in using the daemon to settle the particles and making an initial state. Would this be a suitable way of settling particles? How would I parent the particles to the daemon and keyframe if needed?

Thanks,

Matt
