Is there a specific issue we can help you with? Or are you just looking for others in your field for social purposes?

i'm by no means in the architecture field, but I helped out at the CIMS Lab at my university during one summer:

They do a lot of building reconstruction using photogrammetry and 3D scanning. They talk about the tools they use on their web site so it might be useful to you.

I'm an architect working in Dallas. We use SketchUp for most of out design work, but have outsourced rending in the past. I'm making an attempt to learn Maya to help augment my design and use as a presentation tool and a non-rectilinear modeler.

There is alot of material out there that deals with architecture and nice presentational renderings and more. Hunt it down in google you should find alot of architectural modeling and texturing turorials. For instance the Project scenes - overview on 3D Total are really nice, even the ones not for maya are worth a look at. Start and dont stop and you will get there quite quickly. Im hoping for DT to also produce a modeling tutoria and rendering of a photoreal architectural scene, building or similar. Especially with renderman New Version coming out would make a nice set for Maya 8 and to cover. Lets keep our fingers crossed. Meanwhile search on google and when you have questions, here is the place ;)
