Hi all,
is there a way (with a plugin or not) to reset the vertex numbering for a mesh. I'm doing some morphing at the moment and because of a user error, my morph targets haven't got the same vertex numbering as my base mesh.

When I say vertex numbering, I'm not talking about how many vertices there are in both meshes, I'm talking about the number of the vertex (eg "vertex 1846 selected").

Does that make sense ?

or maybe with Max Script?

you cannot morph vertex only shapes

Thanks libertycityanimation, but I'm doing an animation with the morph modifier.

3ds Max help say:

Use the Morpher modifier to change the shape of a mesh, patch, or NURBS model. You can also morph shapes (splines), and World Space FFDs. As well as morphing from one shape to another, the Morpher modifier also supports material morphing.

And I want to change the shape of a mesh. On a mesh object, vertex count on the base object and targets must be the same, and also the number of the vertex has to be the same...

well, I found Morphix plugin but is for 3ds max 8 and 9 and I´m using 3ds max 2010.
