I can't get my sub-d geometry to duplicate (mirror) across the x-axis.

It creates a mirrored duplicate but stays at the origin of my original object. Any help out there in 3D land. Much appreciated.

Thanks to all...

Unfortunately this is a bug in Maya. Havent checked if they fixed it in 8, but in 7 and earlier this is messed up. Your gonna have to mirror it as a polygon mesh and then stick the two together and turn that object into a subd. Or switch to XSI where subd's are native :D

Muchas Gracias for the help. And here I thought something was wrong with my sequencing to create the mirror. Thanks again..

Hi !!
I was facing the same problem as u r in maya 7. Its gives mirrored object in any axis it wants. So wat u can do is , if u want to have a subd object mirrored in X , switch off the x axis tab in mirror options n turn on y axis tab or may be z axis. Yeah , sounds stupid but it worked for me. Try it , nothing to worry.:)
