View Full Version : Importing 3d models from Maya 2011 into MotionBuilder 2011

Hello.

When I try to import to an FBX file into MB, the skeleton is there, but the model isn't in the viewer. There's something very small in the viewer and when I try to scale it, it's some kind of object.

How do I import from Maya into MB correctly?

Sounds like you have exported to much into your fbx file, Motionbuilder doesn't need everything like Maya so only take across what you want (mesh, rig also del history) then animate with motioncapture then export animations back to maya. I find this is the best for game development as then you can add the subtle animations and export into the engine again from Maya. good luck
