Basic Compositing problem

Hello everybody, Nuke noob transitioning from after effects here :P Trying to place fire footage behind a hedge, and I can't seem to be able to put the hedge in front of the footage, tried using a bezier mask but I don't know how to duplicate the footage to place it above the fire footage. Also the footage is pre-keyed, but when I connected the node to the other nodes the black background came back! Somebody please help because I am pretty stuck here :P

Hi XTweek91,

If you have a screenshot, that would help me give more specific feedback. That said, You can create a Merge node and plug the A pipe into the hedge or hedge mask, and the Fire footage into the B pipe. If the black is still showing up, try adding a premultiply between the Hedge or hedge mask and the Merge node. This should get you to the effect you're looking for.
