Does anyone know of any websites that have free image planes and reference photos for various things like cars, people, and other things like that? I've searched for 30 minutes now and can't find anything and 30 min is too long to be looking for anything so simple.

lol, I did do a search, first I searched for the phrase Image Planes and only came up with info on how to set them up in maya, not where to get them. Then I searched Download Image Planes and the search told me it found no results. While searching google I could only find image planes that you have to pay for and again, lots of info on how to set them up, but no free images. I also found lots of websites with pictures of airplanes, lol. So I apologize if from your end it seems like I didn't do my research, but I have, I've spent over an hour total looking, but I guess I'm not searching the right keywords.

Try this place. They aren't image planes per se, so you'll have to cut 'em up in photoshop. Good luck.

thanks a lot man, see, there's where my searching went wrong. I didn't think to look for blueprints, I was just using 'image planes' as my search term. So thanks for the link and for pointing out my mistake.

No problem. Oh yeah, if you're new at something and you don't know where to look, it doesn't mean you're lazy...it just means you're new and you don't know where to look. Been there many times ;-)

ya, like you found out only maya calls them image planes, since their never program specific use words like blueprints and reference images/pictues when searching.
