Has anyone seen the short Coyote fall, it was a the start of "Cats and dogs 2"

At the beginning i was thinking "oh god, this is one of those things they shouldn't change and preserve the 2D memory's". However it was relay well done and hilarious :D and apparently there making a comeback on tv and with more shorts at the cinema. I'm happy as well that there still not afraid push the characters to the max and blow them up and smash them around like in the classics :D

Anyway i was wondering about other peoples opinions :)

The short was done nicely but I still don't like it in CG. The biggest reason: Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner had it's own style of animation that made it so unique and fun to watch. Chuck Jones' had a knack for putting humor in his character even if they were still. That bit of imperfection can only come with hand-drawn animation.

Yogi Bear and Smurfs are also making a come back, in CG 3D feature length films no less. A lot of people are already upset about it. I was too at first but after considering it from all perspectives it seems that these studios are actually not aiming to please the older fan base, who grew up watching these shows, but rather the newer generation that is growing up with 3D and much more used to that. So it's sort of like they're giving them a fresh start. From a marketing point of view it's easier to convert a 3D character into a toy as well.
