Hey guys,

I've been wondering. How do you make a realistic tornado in realflow? I've been trying to make one myself, but it just didn't ended in a tornado. Most of the time it was a gasbubble spinning of liquid splashing all over the place :P

Please help :)

Did you try using dumb particles instead of fluid particles? I think you'd find it easier to make a tornado in Maya (or your 3d app) as opposed to realflow

You might try using the spline emitter. It's easier to control than the spline deamon and it acts the same way. Set one up in your scene and start messing with the lowest control first until you get some upward spin. You will have to go back and forth tweaking the controls for a long time before you get what you want. Parent the controllers to locators and use those to make the tornado taller.
