I'm doing the intro to realflow 4 tutorial, although I'm doing it in realflow 5. I'm guessing most stuff should be the same, and the simulations should run about the same. However, in the filling the glass lesson, I'm setting up everything with the same parameters as in the lesson, but the water is acting incredibly volatile. Particles are flying off into space from everywhere, even off the spout. When the water starts accumulating in the glass, it splashes back out of the glass, and once a bit of volume has accumulated, the new water seems to make it explode. I've tried increasing the viscosity, cranking up the surface tension, bring the internal and external pressures both way high and way low, I've even added a drag force. Nothing seems to help.

Any ideas?

Hi

this problem could be related to the force scale settings of the project or to the properties of the different elements such as filling a small vessel with a large emitter. I would try to increase the resolution of the emitter and at the same time reduce the "Daemon force scale for particle fluids" which is now accessible in RF5 by the icon close to the reset button, the one between the mesh and the eye button. Increasing the minimal substeps of the simulation can help too.
Once I had such a similar strange behavior with a glass object, which was finally fixed with correcting the collision direction to "outside" in the fluid interaction tab of the glass.
