Alt + Middle click not working

Hey!
I just started learning Maya a few days ago with the Basics training dvd. Everything is great except for when I track. Holding down the Alt and middle wheel doesn't work. But I can zoom in and out using the wheel. The alt + left and alt + right work fine as well.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

u wouldnt happen to own an ileagle copy would u? haha, just playing.
thats a weird problem, mine works fine, u try re-installing? allthough im sure theres an easier way to fix this

Haha. Thanks for the suggestion! There was an easier way to fix it. I figured out it was my mouse. I plugged in my wireless mouse for my laptop and it worked fine.
