I am having a problem with one of my lights. Its a spotlight with light fog applied. Works fine except when i break a link between the light and the floor of my scene the fog disappears.
Tried to go into the hypershade and figure out whats going on but all the nodes and connections still seem to be there. After relinking the light to the floor, the fog comes up again.
What am i doing wrong here?

hi,
I have few questions just to reassure before giving the solution,
Is the spot light the only light in the scene, or is the floor only object to recieve lights in that scene... ck out the attributes of the shape nodes of all the object in the scene for light related boolean vals.. example, cast shadows, recieve stuff, reflect stuff... etc.
can u be a bit descriptive on this ! seems interesting.

Hi Mate...
you need to "re-link" the fog attribute from the hypershade to the spotlight's attributes.
Open your spotlight's attributes... you will notice one of the lightfog tabs are empty...
now, got to your hypershade... find the light fog node, middle click-HOLD it and drag it into the empty slot ion your attributes... this should do the trick.

Hey Fatal, thanks mate that worked just fine!
For some reason after breaking the link, the light fog node still appeared active in the spotlight's attribute editor and in the hypershade, but by breaking the fog connection and linking it up again, all returned back to normal.
I also tried this on other lights, and with all of them the fog always disappeared after lightlinking, so it seems that the fog node connection just has to be reset.
Cheers man
