Hi Guys

I have been having trouble with something i was wondering if you could help.

GOAL: I want to create a logo of some text and have it as a fluid, it will start off as text then drop down and splash all over the place.

What i have done so far is:

Maya:
1. Created my text in maya 2011 and extruded it to give it some depth.
2. Exported the scene from frame 0 to 1 out into an SD file.

RealFlow:
3. Imported the scene into realflow so I can see my text.
4. Created a domain and encompassed my text.
5. Created the text as an emitter.
6. Created some gravity
7. Ran the simulation.

The words drop as expected and splash inside the domain as expected.

At this point i am a little stuck as when i select "export->Realflow Partacle Bin file(single)" a box pops up saying "Please Create or Select a Fulid Before"

Also what is the exclusive links part for, do i move stuff into that part after i simulate?

Do i have to generate the mesh before hand and then export that also or something else.

I would like to get a high detailed mesh so that i can run the animation into maya and then render out and create an animated gif or video.

Thanks for the advice in advance

Thanks Mithandra

Hi mithandra,

I would usually build the mesh, and in Maya, import the mesh .BIN files.
