Hey everyone,ive been looking at the zbrush central galleryand some maya stuff and i know maya is great but is it possible to create zbrush realism in maya and can you hook us up with some links if so....or would you say the two should be used more like a set or team of apps to get the finished product if i can learn to get to the point in one app i cant see buying two but if the workload and speed is wirth it ...well i think you get my poiint i know theres a dvd for maya to zbrush but can i get some more details on the whole process to maybee get a better grip on the whole thing i love maya but like i said and if you all havent checked it out look up zbrush central gallery its totally nuts . srry if this isnt the place but its hard to deside where to putt this...ty

You use Zbrush alongside Maya just like you use Photoshop alongside Maya for texture creation. Zbrush will allow you to work at mesh resolutions that you are unable to realistically use in Maya. Also the Zbrush tools for working at those resolutions are much faster then using Mayas tools.

hey thanks ,im wondering is there anyone woth W.I.P pics that might be able to show us from maya to zbrush to finished work like before and after would really help me see this kinda workflow to understand it better i think.

there are some free vids on using maya and zbrush as well as an entire kit. If you're interested in using both apps I would definetly suggest getting that. It will make everything very clear, and give you the knowledge to make up serval workflows so you can do what you want.
