View Full Version : Create Object In Maya 8
In the new version of Maya whenever you create a primitive you are required to drag the base then the height. I'm just curious to know if there is a way to change this back to the way the previous version(s) of Maya would just pop the object and you can resize it however you wish via the channel edition or the scale manipulator.

I am too sick of it.I am pleased to say that there is a way to turn off this "feature" - in create menu go to create poly primitives and there check in the bottom line named 'interective primitive creation' check it out and it will be like always. You have to do this to nurbs primitivs too.Good luck! :dance

CGmaniak is right.
In addition, DT have a great tutorial.
just check the tutorial section.. ^^
Awesome, thanks for let me knowing...Autodesk should've left those things the way they were, like the Edit Poly is now Edit Mesh. Well I guess it will make transitioning from Max to Maya or vice-versa a little easier.

Its an Autodesk thing....3DS has called it mesh for a while, I guess this is a way to help merge the two. :)
