Hi all, I was doing this tute this morning with a coffee, and came back to it this evening. I cannot for the life of me stop the the shape splitting off to give a soft fall off. It's not working for me like it does in the tutorial.

What am I doing wrong ?

Cheers

Hi Richard,

Ah, I know what you're talking about now. One way is to make sure you're holding CTRL-SHIFT for a half second before clicking. Another is to not use the 'Select All' tool and use the 'Select Points' tool.

You'll also run into this problem if your points have a very small feather. You can probably see a line jutting out of your point. That means there is a feather selector very close to your point selector. An easy way around this is to select the point and hit 'shift-e' to reset the feather. What happens is Nuke assumes you want to adjust the feather tension instead of the point tension. This means you either need to zoom in really close to make sure you're hovering over the point selector or reset your feather so it is no longer in the way.

Lemme know if this works!

Cheers Craig, ok, I have it working thanks, but on all but one point, I have somehow added a little red box around onepoint, and I see now the point has a small line coming out of it on an angle. I cannot stop this corner from being soft.

Cheers

Hi Chris and thanks. I worked it out, with your guidance. I think I had a dodgy noe also, as I was still having issues, but then I just deleted it and started again and all was good.

Thanks very much
