I want to know what's the reason for my renders to display with broken lines and how can I correct this problem, (if it is not a graphics card issue) I am an architect and I want to use MAYA to create my 3D models, are there any tutorials in architectural models, or should I use another software?

thanks

sorry, but the image is too small for me to see whats going on. Appears to be aliasing from what little I can see. Crank up your antialiasing, and if your doing arch viz, you may want to use Mental Ray for your rendering needs.

BTW, if you're doing architectural models you shoudl definetly consider making your models in CAD and then importing them into maya. Theres no way to pass off a maya model as an actaul blue print to scale and everything, you you will probably end up making the model in CAD anyways. This way will save you a lot of time, once you figure out a workflow that works for you.

And post a bigger pic if the AA doesn't work

It is not the Antialias, I tried it and it gave me the same result, and it increased the render time anyway. and I am using mental ray.
I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi!
i have the same problem, which i don't consider a problem, cause i only see broken lines with zoom at 1:1(in render window) , if i decrease it, i won´t see the lines.
also when you save the image and open it in any image viewer or photoshop the image its ok (with a good quality render, of course)
i think this is only a display problem...
hope that´s the same we´re talking about ;)

do you see those lines when you open the image in PS or fcheck and go to 100% zoom?
