Hello there, I am a very inexperienced max user, I prefer using maya but the university insists we try out 3ds Max as well.

My problem is that I have seem to misplaced my "pivot" it's just gone and it makes modeling quite a lot harder without seeing it. I've tried resetting the pivot in the hierarchy panel but it didn't work. I think I just might've turned it off by accident, is there a way to get it back and preferably also a way to remove the shortcut that caused me to do this?

please help before I uninstall this program lol. :(

The pivot point is in the hierarchy panel if you click on your object then click the center pivot point the PP will jump to the center of your object. If you zoom out by using the mouse ball then you will see the pp when you see the pivot point you can move it where you want too but you need to have the object selected before you see the pivot point. EDIT You have not turned it off it's just a glitch in max press the X key on the keyboard then it will come back again. sometimes this can be annoying

Good luck
