XSI Tut diff then what I see in XSI

I am watching the Intro to XSI Second Edition. I have noticed that during the tutorial at the bottum of the screen to speaker talks about how it shows the LMB, MMB, and RMB and how they can affect diff ways of selecting things. What I see at the bottum of XSI on my comp is the animation timeline. Any tips on that?

Also I just saw a feature when he says if you press n hold the N key it allows you to move polygons, edges, and points, though when I do that I get nothing or I get some line that looks like it might be a light.

Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

Hi dude5487. For spatial reasons, the animation timeline tends to be removed in lessons that don't deal with animation.
Also the shortcut key for moving or tweaking components is M. The N key is for creating polygons.
