I've succesfully hooked up a model to the Autorig and set up the deform weights so it animates. However I ran into a problem with the arms. I'm trying to do a running pose, but when I move the arms into this pose, the locked rotation axis at the bicep to forearm is screwing things up.

Here's the rig in t-pose

What I thought I could do was just to rotate the bicep down towards the waist, then the forearm up, but the rotation lock prevents this:

To get something like what I want I end up with this:

which looks horrible. Am I doing something wrong in the rigging, or is the model itself not useable?

I don't know houdini that well but I would say I don't think its the model. Maybe try to adjust the paint weights for the shoulder joint

Nope, I finally figured it out. It turns out it was the way I had adjusted the rig in it's initial settings. I had moved the elbow controller in such a way that it changed the way the transform was going go affect things.
