Hey,

I did a layout in Photoshop and used slices to convert my layout to an html site. In Dreamweaver I then specified a background color so that the page wouldn't end in a plain white color. when previewing as well as watching the site online I get white lines where the border of my layout is?

What is the problem here?
Any idea how to eliminate those bright edges?

Hmm...not exactly sure what is going on, so perhaps a screenshot would help. But if I'm understanding correctly than it would have to do with the matte in your images. I'm not a big fan of using slices so I don't use them, but try checking your matte in the Save For Web & Devices dialog box. If there is one, try setting it to None.

Hey, the images are exported as gif, and I turned off the transparency setting.

The edges look like this:

Are you referring to the beveled-looking border in the background on the far right? That looks like the border to a table. Compression on that image is pretty high, though, so its hard to tell exactly.

yeah I am.

I uploaded the page.
there you can see it in all its beauty.

I selected the table and all the images, but the border is set to 0.

edit: It was in the matte settings for the gifs. I assign the color of the BG and everything is fine. thank you so much for your help, dan.
