Hi,

I'm rigging a robot and have watched Digital Tutors Training on 3ds max rigging.

I'm currently rigging a leg and am trying to use an orientation constraint on the base of the foot so that when I move the charecter up and down, the foot stays flat on the floor plane, as demonstrated in the 10th video of the training series.

My problem is that I can not get my HI solver's rotation to affect the rotation of the bones its solving and thus the orientation solver does not work :)

I've even downloaded the project files and on my machine the orientation constraint does not seem to do anything.

I'm using Max 2010 FYI. Any ideas as to what might be going on.

Thanks in advance!
Patrick
