particle emitter troubles

Hey guys,

I'm having a little problem with the water emitter, when i hit simulate it only generates about 5 rings of water then doesnt generate anymore, could any1 tell me what im doing wrong?

go into properties and see if its set to a specific amount.
What version u using?

im using version 4, but i cant see a specific option which sets the number of rings
