I am trying to get a face to extrude along a path... I have had a teacher show me how to do it, and the video tutorial that explained it... for some reason it just doesn't do ANYTHING!!!! The face extrudes but doesn't move anywhere, let alone along the path. Does anyone know if there is some setting I accidently turned off or on? I tried to reset my settings for preferences, faces, and polygons...I can't think of what else to do!!!
Please help!!! This is for a final project that is due soon!! :(

change the number of divisions to 50

It doesn't matter how many divisions I add, it doesn't move from the original face location... and when I use the move tool and drag it out it just goes straight, not along the path.

reset you extrude setting then tell us step by step what you are doing
Right click and choose face component mode
Select the face
Shift select the curve
Polys->extrude
change divisions to a large number
that should work just fine. Try making a new curve, just a simple one then doing the extrude along it. Also make sure the curve starts at the centre of the face you are trying to extrude, if not reverse the curve direction.
