Hi, I had recently made my first attmpt at character modeling. my problem is that there are two vertices that refused to be removed or deleted. at the moment I am very inexperienced and unfamiluar with a few of maya's features so if anyone could help me I would appreciate it.

hi
If you can't delete vertices, try to delete the face.

Go with what Shogun said and if that doesn't work... try deleting the History. Sometimes, the history has a lot to do with bugs. I believe it is (off the top of my head): Edit > Delete all by type > History.
Hope it all works out.

Go to edit polygons and hit delete vertices.
lol thats what I had been doing. as for the the other suggestion, I cannot find the delete face button atm as im still overwhelmed by the menu, the delete history odly enough doesn't seem to be working either.

to delete the face you must go into the component mode.
right clic one the mesh => drag with the mouse on the "face" menu.
now your mesh is blue, then select the face you want and delete it just like you done with vertices.
hope this helps

the reason you can't delete two verticies is because all polygon object need to have three or more verticies. The simples poly object possible is a triangle, if you deleted four verticies from that face you circles (which only has four) then it would only have two verticies making it a line. Shogunato's suggestions will work, and you will be able to delete that entire face.
