Ok, first go to composition->composition settings. Make sure the frme rate is set to whatever is was in maya when you rendered (probably 30 fps). Then go to composition->add to render queue. A render details window should pop up. Click the output to button and choose a file name and location. Then click on the output module button and then click on format options. From there select the compression tool you want. I'd suggest getting divx, you can download it for free.

Just as an FYI, sometimes After Effects doesn't really like MP3s and you'll find that the rendered audio skips. In the future, I'd advise staying away from MP3s and even AIFFs if possible. I'd stick with a standard WAV file - never had an issue with those.

Also, you mentioned its playing sharply? Did you render out using motion blur in Maya? This is a huge and often overlooked step that can make your animation take the leap to professional-looking simply in one step. I look forward to seeing your final project! :)

By saying sharp I meaned that(if you played games on bad computers) it is like fps's are low and is is steped and no I didnt use motion blur, but I used depth of field, could that cause problems?I will try all the tips, convert MP3 into WAV wount be a problem....One more question if depth of field does cause problems than can you say what should I do to fix this issue,or I need some other software to compose my 'short' ?

Sorry I am a bit annoing...but can you tell me step by step how I need to import files:
1.Sequence is needed to be imported as a composition or not.
2.Also it imports audio file as a movie with duration but without of picture how do I import only sound?

Sorry again for my stupid questions :frown:

Low FPS...stepped....and your frame rate that you rendered out of Maya is the same that you're using in AE right? Perhaps then you are talking about interlacing? You can interpret the fields seperately, but unless you rendered out of Maya with fields you shouldn't have that issue. In any case, you can interpret the field order in AE under File > Interpret Footage > Main and the "Fields and Pulldown" portion of that box.

Depth of field doesn't cause any issue, I was mainly asking if you had rendered with motion blur out of Maya because if you don't then things can look crisp in your final image. The reason for this isn't anything technical, its just that in any footage if something moves its blurred from frame to frame to make the movement look more real. Without it your individual frames may look fine but when you put 'em all together in AE (or any compositing program), they won't look right.

Step-by-step to import your image sequence into AE, go to File > Import > Import File. In the dialog box that pops up, select the very first image in your sequence then check the box at the bottom of the box that says "JPEG Sequence" (replace "JPEG" with whatever kind of file you rendered out as...aka, "Targa Sequence", "TIFF Sequence", etc.). Once checked, hit the "Open" button. You'll see your sequence in a single file in your project palette.

Next, you'll have to create a composition. The best way to ensure your settings in this new composition are the same as your image sequence is to click and drag the image sequence down to the little film strip at the bottom of your project palette (just to the right of the folder). If you're unsure which one is the new composition button, don't click and drag yet but first hover over each icon there until you see the one that says "Create a new Composition."

AE will automatically put your image sequence in a new comp and you'll see it in the timeline. If you've already imported your audio, simply drag it into the timeline along with your image sequence.

If you haven't imported your audio, you can do so now simply by following the same steps as importing the image sequence (except without checking the "Sequence" box ... but it'll be greyed out anyway). File > Import > Import File and select your audio file. When imported, your audio file will look somewhat like a video file in the project palette, although it will have a different icon, and the "Type" will be different. When you drag it into your timeline, you'll see that there's no little eye as there is with your image sequence. That just means that there's no video -- which makes sense, because its an audio file. :)

Anyway, hope all that helps -- if you'd like to render out a short sequence to show here, I can see with more detail exactly whats going on. Good luck!
