Dec09/Jan10: Santa's Grotto

Hey Guys, this is the first DT competition im entering. decided its a great way to ramp up my skills and work with deadlines.

For my project im gonna create an underwater santa's grotto.

I will upload an image in the next couple of days with what i got so far.

OK here's the first pict. im going for a cartoony style but trying to get the underwater effects quite realistic so a bit of fog fall off and dynamic lighting. Just need to create a few more assets like coral, creatures and more christmasy stuff.

im having problems uploading a file. tried uploading a png and a jpg. Both under 100k and the correct size. any ideas? Will try firefox instead of safari.

After participing to a DT contest I really "exploded"
I mean... I've never learned that fast by myself before doing a contest with a deadline

I don't know your experience in 3D but you will improve your skills for sure

For posting images, click on "Go Advanced" at the bottom. This will take you to more options. You can either attach images using "Manage Attachment" or you can code link them using http://...image.jpeg
I've edited your above post for example.

This is my final render and the comp entry. Have to say ive learnt quite alot doing this project and its been a lot of fun. Just trying to decided if i'm gonna enter next months comp too.
