The Introduction to Maya 2nd edition looks like a very appealing kit esspeically because it seems so popular... The problem is, I've been working with Maya for a while so I don't need to be introduced to the basics so I probably wouldn't benefit from all of it because I would already know. Of course, I only know from experience and speculation so... Well do you think I should still get it? I mean, over 9 hours for 45 dollars is pretty good value but still, I dunno if I would really benefit a lot because I already know a lot of it.... But I think I'm eligible for the 10% off since I am a student.... but the 4.60 would probably cover shipping charges.... still, that would be a discount ^_^.

check out the outline of the kit:

if a lot of that stuff seems new to you, or your not quite sure how to use those features, you should definitely get it. If you know most of that stuff, check out the outlines for the intermediate kits such as the car modeling or the android kit. Infact, why not just browse through all the kits:

check out the titles, and see if anything seems interesting, then just open it up and read the outline to see if you know the features or not. If you're at the level where you know most of the intro kit, the the two I mentioned above should be great to get you into more advanced modeling, which is where most people start.
