I need urgent help. I' have a hair follicle as a dynamic simulator for the curve of a IK spline in a bone chain. I need to bake the simulation from the Hair follicle onto the bone chains. Then my eel can be exported as FBX to another renderer.

When I try to bake the simulation, the bones doesn't recieve the motion from the hair curve/spline IK.

How do I bake the motion from the hair/IKspine curve onto the bones? So I can delete the hair and IK and just use the motion of the bones on the eel body?

Please help. Thanks

This can sometimes be tricky. Select every bone using Select Hierarchy on the root joint, run Bake Simulation with Hierachy as Selected and only Driven Channels checked. If some of joint transform channels are locked or hidden, these will not be baked. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for your immediate response Sunder. I am really in dire straits.

It seem to help but it only started to bake for 10 frame but it did back on the bones for those frames.

bakeResults -simulation true -t "0:10" -sampleBy 1 -disableImplicitControl false -preserveOutsideKeys false -sparseAnimCurveBake false -controlPoints false -shape false {"Body1"};
// Warning: |hairSystem1Follicles|follicle1|Body1 cannot keep unbaked keys because it is controlled by ik. //
// Result: 10 //

My deadline is tomorrow and I have a lot riding on this. I really could use your help with this one. I sent the file . Can you please just take a peek. it's very small. I will post it here even at the risk of a NDA.
