I am going through the Getting Started with Toxik series, and I am having some problems with the interface showing in the videos is different from mine. I am using Toxik 2010 (from Maya 2010) on a Mac. The hotkey for Library (L) does nothing, and I cannot find anything called Library anywhere. Also, my Project Preferences window looks different and there is no Render Modes area. How would I add a render mode there so that the format doesn't change from EXR like they show in the video?
Martin
ps. I also find that Toxik crashed a lot. Is this normal for the Mac version?

Hi Martin,
Yes, the Toxik 2010 interface has changed quite a bit from the 2009 version. In 2010, there isn't a Library, so you just need to use your Import browser (ctrl-i) to import images and footage into your compositions. 2010 is also solely composition based, there aren't any projects.
2010 handles rendering a bit different as well. You can click on your Output node and then click on the 'Render' tab in the bottom and just change the File format there.
edit: If you change your Project Preferences, those settings will be kept for every new composition you create.
The 2009 way of storing project files looked like this:
Toxik Project
-Toxik Composition (with links to Library OR External Images)
-Library of Footage
The 2010 way of storing project files looks like this:
Toxik Composition (with links to External Images)
We'll have an updated 2010 introduction project in the next few weeks with updated and new material.
