When I want to render my scene in Normal Rendering Mode, Maya get stucks. Render settings are low. Please help, What should i do? I'm using Maya 7.0.1 :)
Also IPR is faster than normal rendering
My PC: 2.8 GHz P4 (Ht), 1.5 GB DDR400 Ram, 256 MB X800XT PE VGA, 200 GB SATA Disk, Windows XP Pro SP2 32bit(All updates were installed) and DirectX 9.0c latest version(Aug 2006 Update) and Ati Catalyst 6.8...

Sorry, I forgot something. This happens when i activated the Raytrace in Render Settings.

IPR usually is faster becuase it doesn't calculate Anti aliasing. You will need to post more information than that, because there are hundreds of things that could be going wrong. Copy and paste the stuff in you script editor after it fails to render so we can see what is happening.

Well for one IPR doesnt calculate Raytracing therefore its quicker. On top of it Raytracing does take a long time in most cases depending on the scene and where its reflecting too. For instance a glass exploding with raytracing on where each little piece reflects into each other would obviously take some time. You have to juggle with the setting in the scene, and your shaders depending what one needs. Turning off reflectivity for some surfaces that are not needed to reflect would help. Alot of things come into consideration. I would suggest to skim over some of the rendering tutorials on the site here and kits that DT offer wich always keep rendering times at a acceptable rate for still stunning images. Good Luck to on your rendering adventures and I hope this info helped you a bit further.
PS- Look into Mental Ray if you can wich handle theese techniques a bit faster than the internal renderer and usually achieves nicer results.

I'm using Maya Software. :) But i found a solution. I've decreased the Raytrace values in the Memory and Performance Options. Now this is better. Thanks.
