Ok, I'm learning 3 programs at once, I love AE....Anyway anyone
Have an idea how to do that effect where someone Brust into
a FLOCK of Birds or Crows...

Is this geared more towards 3-D effect....I have MAYA 7 but still learning. or can this be achieved in AE.

You mean you want someone to turn into a flock or birds? I would suggest drawing the outline of the person at the exact moment when they turn into birds, then in maya make a bunch or birds and place them inside the outline.

Just make sure that when you film the person, you use a tripod, so that you film up to where you want and then film only the bakcground.

The first step will be to edit to film so that it look like the person just disappears, then in AE composite the sequence with the birds.

The composition and filming is fairly straight forward, the hard part will be making and animating a bunch or birds.

For the animation you need to look into Maya's particle system and few other techniques, such as the use of goals, replacing the particles for objects (instancing) wich would be your birds. Than a bit of mel for per particle object control and you should have what you're looking for. :)
