How about adding Maya and Motion Builder for

“Digital Tutors- Next-generation in game techniques for Maya”

Well it would be a different kit since Motionbuilder would be used for our mocap data. The Next Gen techniques kit is really about pushing the envelope and working with assets in a different way. Not really having to do things "low" poly but rather worrying about that after your work is done. It is a creative way to see the pipeline come together.

A similar workflow is being used by Factor 5 for Lair. They let artists (who were in visual effects) create models with tremendous detail and used innovative tools and techniques to create flawless "low-res" models using tricks like normal and parallax mapping, light baking, etc.

Our focus groups for the training consisted of artists at Ubisoft, Blitz Games, EA, and Radical..all of whom offered help with the outline and topics.

The Maya version may be slightly different, but like Papa said, it's coming soon and should open the doors to more artists learning game techniques/workflow.

I love the DT ZBrush/Maya Integration training kit, it is very comprehensive. I guess the only thing I would like to see in the next gen training kit, if it does use ZBrush, is more texture info/tuts. Or is there going to be a training, similar to the 3D Texturing in Photoshop, but for ZBrush? Thanks!
