cant select face

I have downloaded a rigged model off the net that i want to edit.( color ,hair,ect.) but when i select the mesh in the outliner it wont let me select the faces or edge. is there a way to lock the mesh ?

Try going into your outliner and select the geometry through that. I have had this happen to me before and usually if you select it through the outliner it works.

i can select the geometry with the outliner. and i can switch to faces just fine . just cant select the faces :frown:

What happens when you try to select a face? Post a picture of what is happening. Can you pick faces of other objects?

hi selct your model then in the channel box, select all atributes so they turn balck and you can see you have them all selected, right click and go to unlock selected. That should solve your problem, if I understand you right.
