Congratulations safaki_lemur!
The winner of August's contest: Portal

safaki_lemur will receive a month's subscription to DT tutorials :)

Even though we received only three entries for August all of them were amazingly well done. vfxme's animation was brilliant while Tamerygo's concept intrigued us. In the end safaki_lemur's scene captured our attention with its simple yet mystical execution of the topic.

Great concept. Great execution. Congrats! :)

Is there a way to animate the vines growing out of the wall into the scene? That would make an interesting beginning to a nice movie short.

Thankyou so much everyone! I've given these months contests a few tries, and the practice alone pays off participating; but I am very overjoyed my entry made it this month! I think vfxme had a great animation (loads better then any animation I'll ever be able to pull of!), and Tamerygo had a great sinister looking scene that I just loved. You guys have very talented work and I hope you keep at it!
I do really hope more people take the time to participate in upcoming contests, because there is nothing to loose from the practice you get from working on your entries. I might participate in September's theme, but I will not be submitting an entry, just to give other people a higher chance of winning; so everyone please give the contest a go, and good luck to you all!

Congratulation on wining the contest, I really like those vines with the glow behind them
