With the upcoming of softimage 2010 with Face Robot into the mix. I would like to sudcribe for a SI training here but your online library seem to lack some of the most important parts. such as: a Complete modeling course. Your animation course on softimage is very limited, there no training like character animation, mouth synch, expression, etc. Your Maya library is richer than that of SI. I would like to know if you have any plan on expanding SI training library?
Is there a way you can make a production series, from modeling, texturing, animating, rendering, compositing to publishing?
By the way DT have the greatest SI training library on the planet, but not meeting everyone needs.
Maybe if only DT could contacts some of the XSI user on the XSI base forum for some help ( who know!) that woulb be great solution to the flu that SI is suffering.

I too, would like to see new Softimage training, and I think that we will see it soon. As DT is a Autodesk training partner, I believe most of us are still waiting to see how Autodesk moves forward with the apps, DT included. Face Robot, Gaming, and ICE seem to me to be the future of Softimage, I hope I am not wrong because I am really loving Softimage and am anxiously awaiting 2010. I also am looking into Optitracks facial motion capture suite. Combine that with 2010's Face Robot inclusion and I think we will have a new wave of indie game developers recharging the industry.

Here's some potentially great news for Softimage 2010 Face Robot motion tracking!
Zign Creations is working on a new version of their motion tracker, Zign Track 2, which will "eventually" have a .c3d format export. ZT2 will be released in the next few months with a .c3d export either AT release OR to follow as an update.

I can tell you that the new Softimage 2010 with the updated GigaCore III speed improvements, ICE particle enhancements, and now Face Robot makes it far more robust and faster than any 3D package I've used. In my opinion, Maya and 3ds Max are starting to look weak compared to the processing speed and power of Softimage. And particle-wise, I think Softimage ICE can easily hold it's own even against Houdini.
The new Softimage 2010 is extremely powerful and will be gaining ground quickly, so it's a "wise choice" to learn it now as I'm sure plenty of job opportunities will be exploding for skilled users!

Softimage 2010 is the shiznik!
'course I still love Maya, too. ;)
And yes, I too really hope to see some Face Robot tutorials here. I Would also like to see some Syflex tutorials for that matter.
What DT has for Softimage already though is outstanding. Every single video has something amazing to offer.

Softimage 2010 is really nice! We have Maya and Max here but I really do not want to venture back into those apps on a regular basis. Looking at "Excalibur" the next step for 3ds Max it looks like the Max dev team has been sneaking around the XSI dev teams cubicles lol Great time to be in 3D and a great time to be learning Softimage! I agree MORE SOFTIMAGE training I want to complete the character model etc.. YOU ROCK DT!
