June 2009: Prehistoric
I know it's a bit late, but I'd like to try and get something in for this month's contest. I am going to try to do a Brachiosaurus for my entry. My application of choice will be Maya. I am beginner to intermediate.
Here is a quick concept of the scene.

This scene reminds me of the 1st dino scene from the 1st Jurassic park movie. Hoping to see more of this.

cool looking stuff so far. You might want to rocks or something in front of the trees to make them blend in to the background.:dance

trees are in paint effect right?
you should model a pterodactyle or something like that in the background (far away) to make that prehistoric look

yes the trees are paint effects. Thank for the tip about the flying creatures. Not sure how much time I have to put into this project right now. I'm trying to get something done for the final. We will have to wait and see. lol

philharding, please upload your final image in the DT gallery and post the link here as soon as possible. We need that to make our decision. Thanks.
