Hello i just started messing around with houdni. I like ti so far, but ive run into an issue. IM nto sure if thsi is houdinis fault or not. I import this model into the scene. When smooth shade is on in the display options it makes my model look almost subded. also when i render it it def looks subded. Heres some pics to show you what i mean. One is flatshaded in the viewport and even that look wierd, ones smooth shaded in the view port, and the other is rendered

hello
I would say put some edge loops into the model to stop that rounded look where you need to have sharpish looking edges.
They will stop that sub`d look..
hopefully

thanks it kind of helped. I went and beveled all the hard edges a tad. Didnt fix it completely though

In the geometry node, disable Automatically Compute normals. It's under render tab's geometry tab.

Alright i found a solution i think. When i selected the building i went to the polygon tab, and pressed facet. In the options i turned cusp polygons on, and turned on pre compute normals. I got this
