Hi there !
Sharing with you my latest work.
I know, nothing amazing but just a simple WalkCycle (my first).
This little guy is called Bob. Yes, bad name but funny. :D

As you can see this is not perfect and in my view, i find the hip sway is a bit too exagerated.
I guess everyone see this little guy through a different ways. That's why i would like gathering a lot of comments to improve my animation, because now i plan to make a simple short with him.

Shogunato, I think the animation is very good. I like the right hand animation as well as left hand, its very smooth and I see no jerks or too much swaying in the hips. I like the character aswell reminds me of the jeff lew animated green character from his animation collection dvd. Very nice Job and I hope to see more in the future.
PS- I even like the compression job you did 30mb rared up from 250 mb nicely done ;)

Great job, Shogunato! That's an excellent walk cycle!
My only critiques:
1.) I think his arms are a bit too flowy. Try tightening up his arms a bit, meaning: when the arms move back, don't let the elbows go back as far.
2.) I think you could straigthen up the back a little more, so that he's more "chest-out", really bold, exaggerate his walk (if that's the look you're going for with him). You've already got the walk cycle down nicely. Now, just take it to the next level and give him some more character.

I keep in mind all your critiques.
However, I have juste one question :
I made pre and post infinity curves in the graph editor, but right now i want to delete all theses keys and just save the walkcycle.
How can i do that ?
The fact is, i wish to add some keyframes just before theses keys.
I don't know if this is a great way to start the animation, but :
Can i start a new scene, making a new animation and later past all the keys from the walkCycle ?
I gess now the most hard thing is to blend the new animation to the WalkCycle.
I'am new in animation that is the reason i'm a bit confused.

ps: yeah this little guy is inspired from Jeff Lew's dvd.
i found that was a good character to start easily into the animation with a low geometry.

That's Where the trax editor comes in look it up or buy the DT trax editor kit it amkes life so much easier

I really like your walkcycle, it's really awesome. But as Delano mentioned, he's arms are a tad bit flowy, and in my opinion, he's hands are a little too open when he swings them forward. I dunno if u'r going for a kind of marching guy, cause then it's fine, but otherwise, try closing he's hands when he brings them forward.
Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing your film when it's done if you don't mind.

Now arms are less flowy but i'm not really happy with the hands. Maybe they are a bit to open like said Iron_Guy.

The arms are better now, and he looks more realistic.
The hands just need to be closed a little, and perhaps brought in more towards the body, rather than straight out. I'm not really sure, I've never tryed doing a walkcycle, but it's worth a try.

hi guys , i also made a simple cycle.. not a walk cycle but just a cube which i am trying to move spinning and forward . its just like the walkcycle idea only then a cube. my problem is when i get my global control and set 2 keyframes 1 and on 25 (my spin cycle is 25 long ) and then i grab the curve in the graph edditor to make it curves>post infinity> cycle with offset it wont work . neighter the pre infginity or post infinity options work.. what can i do about this? i want to keep it moving forward.
