these are some early renders just to test what i think will be a good keyboard layout, i've used a ramp in the color for the illumination shade and a alpha to bring only the red like a real projection, i think I am about to finish the modeling, probably I will model some detail soon or late and im going to do the render setup now.
thank you all for the comments!

I rendered more test images here with mental ray shaders, maybe it needs a little bit more working on, but I think i'm getting there.

Well everything looks sweet but won't that keyboard projection beam block the view? If the thing is going to be invisible then it is ok... Great work.. Work a bit more on your renders.

i wonder if you could do this months project slightly differnt and go for a floataion tank with an electrode that plugs into to the port on the back of of your head . lol
or is that a bit to far into the feature for this project .
hum... i got it, your right, i mean, i've been worked in a very standard workstation, maybe i should start another project, if permitted, why not, we're in may's 7th yet

yeah, i think the same, lasers beams are invisible unless you have fog or something, like dust, but i think my project goes into a conceptual product way, but ok, thanks a lot for the comment, i'll do continue my studies in render setups.

what? no foot massager? just kidding, I think. where's the built in refridgerator so you don't have to get up for food and drinks? I actually was thinking of something like what you have come up with, only no time to work on it. Mine would have a fridge built in. he he. Nice job. :)

This is looking quite nice. One think I noticed is the support bar for your seat is penetrating the cushion. Maybe you could extrude the back of your head rest to create an area that hides the penetration. Are you using Final Gather? If you are you may want to crank up the Accuracy to kill some of the splotchy areas on your floor/backdrop.
That's clever and creative, keep up the good work

Lookin' good! If I have one critique, the gray block holding the chair doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the scene. There are also a few seams (arm connecting to chair) that look like they could use more work. Where two objects meet is a difficult location to make look good, but I might focus some attention on it.
Keep up the good work!
