Text Question

OK so I'm going to make some text but I have a question.

I went to create > text > Curves and made my text. Lofted it and planed it out. But how I go about making the edges of the text stick out about an inch or so like its got a outline.

You could create another text curve that is bigger than the original
one you have and after adjusting the larger text curve the way you want it to be, loft between the two. Or you could use a toon outline.

Thanks for the reply shk1101 but I figured out an easier way after some trial and error.

Go to Create > Text > And check that bevel is check and on Outer Bevel Style select Straight front Edge then hit ok.

Bevel Plus works nice in those cases as well, various settings achieve all kinds of results edge wise.
