Hello, how are you?
I am working with RF4 and I am trying to follow part 2 of the trampoline tutorial on the Intro to Real Flow training kit. The scene tree appears to have disappeared in this upgrade. I am trying to connect the ball to the particle field. The manual says to use the Exclusive Links column to create this type of interaction. It says the object (ball) must be placed under the particle to work. After I drag the particle into the column I drag the object in. No matter where I drop it, it ALWAYS goes to the top of the list, and I can't get it to move below the particle object. The particle should be on top of the object. Here is a picture and the text from the manual. Thanks!
This panel shows how items can be associated with each other, making them interact exclusively.
It is often used for special interactions like for example, two emitters and a gravity, and the gravity affecting just one of the emitters.
You can remove an item from the Links by clicking on it with the RMB and you can add an item by simply drag and drop from the Nodes list. All these lists (Nodes, Global links and Exclusive links) can be filtered by right clicking to show and hide some particular type of elements.
Hint: Please note that exclusive interaction do have direction. Meaning this the following:
Objects and particles must be placed under Realwave surface to make them interact.
Daemons must be placed under objects or particles in order to affect them.
Objects must be placed under emitters in order to interact with particles.
