hi,
i just wondered if dt is planing on creating a "texturing next gen characters" dvd as well.

Being about to finish the modeling of next gen character dvd, i just saw in the sneak peak of "rigging next gen characters" that the character's already uv mapped, textured and detailed out.

I'd be really intrested in the texturing and uv layout process, as well as creating normal maps using zbrush.

would be nuts to get some more infos on that :)

btw: DT rules :bow

How we use ZBrush to paint the normal map for the character?
And how we use Photoshop to paint the texture?
We would like to see this training kit to be available soon.

The kits you speak of can be found here. Each art part of a large pipeline to get your game character assets in a game Engine. XNA is the game engine example being used here. Even though some of them are labeled Zbrush the pipeline involves moving back and forth from Maya to Zbrush and then back to Maya then to XNA.
