Mental Ray not showing up

Greetings,

I'm nearing the end of the photorealistic car modeling project and went to render out what I had in mental ray, only to find that it's missing! I had access to it about 2 weeks ago and have no idea why it's gone. Has anyone encountered this before and know what it is I need to check? I'm thinking of reinstalling maya but perhaps there's a better way (possible to just reinstall mental or something maybe?). Being the paronoid person that I am, if I end up having to reinstall maya will it potentially screw up any of my projects? Thanks again

hi william,
no panic probably your mental ray plugin is not activated. In this case you must go in Window>Setting/Preferences>Plug-in Manager e check Mayatomr autoload and load. Now if you open render global the mental ray render is no more missing.
With the autoload activated the next time you open maya the mental ray startup.

Great thanks a ton, got it working now! I had actually checked there before but was looking for something like mentalray (didn't know that mayatomr was mental ray) as the mll name. Thanks so much again, it's really nice to have annoyances like this cleared up.
