Can't batch render with mental ray.

I'm having a problem batch rendering in mental ray, it renders a single frame just fine, but when i try to batch render nothing happens. All it does is freeze up at 0% of rendering the first frame. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I would really appreciate the help, thanx.

Try making a new scene and just animate a primitive to move in ten frames. Then try to batch render the ten frames. Try from within maya and with the command line (theres a video on how to do that).

Has it ever worked before, or did the problem just start?
