i have an circle emitter shoot into a spiraling cylinder to create that shape of an effect. the thing is, is that it took 1 1/2 days to simulate 300 frames. how can i achieve the same effect and cut simulation time? i was shooting down so the particles would flow easily i thougth, with the help of gravity at 20 strength. also the speed of the emitter was way up at 70. the thing is the collision distance and distance tolerance were tweeked up too. but not by much because that was simulating slower. so i had to tweek them just enough. help me out here.

Try lowering your scene size a bit I know that helps me when I want to cut some sim time.. Just make sure not to lower it too much or you might run into some problems
