movie won't play

I'm so close to finishing this website and it just won't be right if I didn't hit another snag.

But I created this Movie Clip in flash and when I test it in Flash it runs fine. When I bring it into dreamweaver, it's just a blank square. I did a debug in flash (don't really know what that does) but it says:

"The Flash Player is paused so that
breakpoints may be adjusted. Click
Continue to start the movie."

Please tell me that someone knows how to fix this.

The debugger in Flash always begins in a paused mode. You need to click on the green play button to start the movie.
As for it showing up blank in dreamweaver, is the first frame of your flash movie blank? Also, does it play when you preview the page itself? If it does, then you should be okay for the most part.

I think I know why it isn't playing and I don't know how to fix it. The movie clip is an AVI converted into a MC. That's the only way that I could get the movie to loop and it's load time was pretty quick. When I look at the MC's time line it's just a black screen, cuz it's an AVI. I don't understand why it works fine in Flash but not dreamweaver. I tried putting the SWF into it's own page but it still won't work.

I have the file before I made it into an AVI, but that load time takes like 10 minutes on DSL.

This is not really a solution to your problem, but i would suggest importing it again, and this time let flash make a linked FLV out of it ( play around with the settings to get a good quality / filesize ratio ). This way, only users that actually watch the part of your website where the movie is located will download the movie, thus improving the overall loading time of your website ( aswell as the load on the server ). Remember to upload your SWF and FLV files to the webserver tho... ;)
