I created a camel model whereby I duplicated some faces. The new faces I applied some fur to. After this time I created a wrap between the 2 meshes. When I move the original mesh the fur description is left somewhere behind the original mesh. :frown:

Parent the new geometry to the camel or if you wanted them seperate and still stay contrainted group them all together!
of course there are other ways like point constraint in the animation menu....but i'm not good at the animation section yet...hope this helps

hi Foremancr..
i tried the steps and its working for me... for skin wrap - select the high res or dup faces mesh 1st and shift select the low res or original mesh and apply... i thing u have done the reverse... try this,,.
moreover... skin wrap is heavy and u have to make sure that u have given the exact 'max distance' value.. but try to create a skin cluster for the duplicated faces and select the base mesh and shift select your duped face mesn and proceed with "copy skin weights - with Use smooth skin weight copy option on "
now the copy skin weights copies based on world space and u will surely get exact skinning on the duplicated face mesh which will move along with the original and deform in the same way.. but it becomes heavy too... compared to a skin wrap - a skin cluster is little faster(to my observation)....
i use skin wrap if i have to skin too many items like double layer wings or a shirt with also has a inner skin mesh .. etc....
try this and reply ... :)

I parented and wraped the two meshes together before writing and it didn't make any different. Parenting certainly can make a big different with something like this. I certainly think I could have gotten the wraped wrong, but that something I can change. The one thing that I haven't done was to bind the joints to the mess. I will try that after doing the animation and see how that works. I'm sure there will be a lot of difference once that is done.
Thanks!!!!!!!!

I removed the fur and the faces that the fur was connected to. I duplicated some faces again and created a wrap as you suggested and it worked fine this time. I sure I had it in the wrong order.
Thanks!!!!!!!
