Help whit image planes and more

I am bilding Airplane and I need help.
I need to creat more image planes for the cross sections like this http://www.colacola.se/wip_p47_refsetup.htm practicaly I need to hide part of the Image plane in maya using a sheider or any other tehneek in maya it is very hard to do that in fotoshop.
And second I like to ask for website whare I can find bluprints of aircraft I am using www.airwar.ru and the link I used before was personal website of an a CG artist.

Theese are the only two pictures I could find of the Republic Thunderbolt, I kinda like the first one due to detail, very close to the image you posted, incase you really need the even so smallest part of the Thunderbolt modeled check this blueprint you can buy for 17,95 I beleive. (Middle of the page)

I need to know how to make a shaider in order to hide the unnieded parts of the plane like the mide section of the plane.

Well after playing around with it for awhile I can't come up with anything better then this. Take the image your using for the image plane and go into photoshop and add an Alpha Channel of the parts you want to hide and then within the image plane attributes change the display mode frmo RGB to RGBA when you want to hide parts of the image plane that you defined in the alpha channel you made in photoshop.
